To coincide with the new season of Game of Thrones, Tourism Ireland has created a 77-meter long tapestry recounting the history of Westeros to date. Sure, you could watch the “Previously on Game of Thrones” pre-credits roll at the start of the show, but it’s much cooler to check out a digital version of the tapestry here. Or, if you’re in Belfast, go check it out in person at the Ulster Museum.
Not only is this a great promotion, it’s also a reminder that the art of storytelling is as old as time. And that finding new and exciting ways to tell a story doesn’t require $10 million for 60 minutes of screen time.
